I’ve been creating as long as I can remember. I made doll’s clothes while staying with my grandparents on my grandma's antique treadle Singer. My mom taught me how to cross-stitch and sew following a pattern when I was little, and we sewed a whole bedding ensemble for my cabbage patch doll Krissy Lynn. In Home Economics, I finished my projects quickly and in my extra time would go into my friends' bins and help them out on their projects. As an adult, I learned how to quilt, and then revisited sewing garments as my daughters grew.
After some wobbly attempts at modifying or self-drafting different things, I bought some excellent drafting textbooks and began teaching myself to draft. A friend was creating an online course teaching how to create the graded and tiled PDF patterns and instructions for downloadable sewing patterns and I became her beta tester. My degree is in accounting, and that analytical mind combined with my love of sewing, and the training I gained in process documentation as an internal auditor blended very nicely to evolve into a pattern designer.
My goal is to create a sewing experience that is enjoyable, and results in a product that will be loved by the wearer. I put my heart into each pattern and I hope that shows in the patterns you purchase.
Happy sewing!
